Integrating Technology into Instruction
Meet Ms. Kivett Hello, my name is Erin Kivett and I am a first grade teacher. I will be starting my seventeenth year teaching this fall and have taught both second and third grade students. I am passionate about teaching all children and creating a safe environment for all children to flourish in. I believe it's incredibly important to get children excited about reading. In order to do that, I plan to integrate technology into my reading block. The use of technology will not only help students get excited about the books they are reading, but will allow students to have access to more high-quality books, connect students with each other through meaningful discussion boards through Canvas, and have a curriculum that is differentiated to meet the unique needs of every learner.
